October 2024

It’s time to embrace fall to the fullest - “California Fall” ! October brings slightly cooler weather, while throwing in some sporadic warmer days as we transition out of the summer heat. The days get shorter and we really start to melt into the holiday coziness that approaches. But before all that craziness begins, we want to bring you two wonderful wines that let you approach the changing season slowly. The perfect summer to fall selection of a California red, and a bright Spanish styled white.

Two Shepherds “Soleil”: Albariño (2023)

This crisp white wine is a 100% Albariño, inspired by the native Spanish white wine grape, but picked from our very own native California vineyards. Named after the beloved farm’s rescue pet goat, “Soleil” offers the same charismatic and carefree essence that the goat of the Two Shepards farm brings to everyone on the vineyards. Just like “Soleil” the goat, this “Soleil” Albariño will bring a smile to your face the moment the cork pops open. Enjoy this crisp, California certified organic white alongside light creamy cheeses, fish tacos, or a seafood risotto. It really is the perfect transitional wine for our not so chilly California fall!

Tendu: Dunnigan Hills Red Blend (2021)

This label is the second wine label by Jill and Steve Matthiasson, who are best known for their perfectly balanced wines from vineyards in Napa and Sonoma. This organically farmed red blend of Barbera, Aglianico, and Montepulciano is incredibly drinkable with bright acidity, delicate aromas, and a red berry tartness that pairs with your favorite foods and conversations. We recommend enjoying this wine slightly chilled amongst friends, alongside a roasted chicken, rich carnitas tacos, or your favorite dark chocolate for a sweet treat at the end of a long week.
