Slow down and tap into the beauty of imperfection with this beginner-friendly Kintsugi workshop Sunday April 27 @ 2 PM on the patio @ Canal Market in Venice Beach. Kintsugi, the ancient Japanese art of golden repair, turns broken ceramics into stunning, one-of-a-kind pieces—because flaws aren’t flaws, they’re part of the story.
In this class, you’ll learn a modern, beginner-friendly Kintsugi technique using easy-to-work-with adhesives and brass powder (I will have multiple metallic hues available) to bring a broken plate or art piece back to life. No waiting for days—this method dries quickly and is hypoallergenic, making it perfect for decorative ceramics (just not for food use).
We will have a choice to break & repair a small bowl or plate. You also have an option to bring your own piece (if you do please check with me in advance).
Workshop includes: supplies, instruction + ceramic piece

Clean the Beach with Hollow Wines
Join us for a fun day of cleaning up the beach at 26th Avenue Beach in Venice! Let's work together to keep our beautiful beach clean and enjoyable. Don't forget to wear comfortable clothes and bring your water bottle. We'll provide the rest!
When we finish cleaning at 1 p.m., we'll reconvene at Canal Markets at 2 p.m. for a tasting of Hollow Wines' newest release. (Must be 21 or older to participate in the tasting.) There will be special discounts on wine and a big raffle for those who participate in the Beach clean-up!

"Paint & Sip" - Cruz Creations x Sofaisy Designs x Sophisticated Spreads | The Canal Market
Join us on Sunday 11/24 for a "Paint & Sip" afternoon at The Canal Market! This workshop is the perfect autumn experience of painting, florals, charcuterie, & drinks! Erica from Cruz Creations will provide a variety of hand-thrown vases* for you to paint on & Sofia from Sofaisy Designs will provide stunning floral arrangements for you to pair with your painted vases! The perfect bouquet and vase to bring to your upcoming Thanksgiving celebration!
Dive into your creativity, while indulging on delicious personalized charcuterie made by Sophisticated Spreads. Non-alcoholic spirits, Ghia or Optimist, will also be provided and you'll have an option to buy wine/beer/other beverages from The Canal Market!
*The hand-thrown vases will be glazes inside, ready to hold water & flowers. You'll have the option to paint your vase using acrylic paint and clear varnish sealant or glaze. If you choose to glaze your piece, there is a small $8 firing fee & you'll be able to pick up your fired glazed vase 2 days later at The Canal Market.

You will learn both coiling & pinching handbuilding techniques to make your own mug, bowl or whatever your imagination leads you to create.
In this 2 hour interactive workshop we will build the pieces from clay, then spend some time decorating (stamps, painting, textures, etc).
All levels are welcome!
Workshop includes: supplies & instruction
Pieces can be bisque & glaze fired for an additional $15 fee. Those will be available for pickup in 1-3 weeks.

Come spend an evening with the florist of Sofaisy Designs, and the ceramicist of Cruz Creations, building your very own flower bouquet and flower vase. You will get to take home the flowers you choose and learn to arrange in the vase you have built by hand, while sipping on a complimentary summery beverage! This evening is the perfect chance to get creative and have some fun! Bring a friend or a special someone, or just your own lovely self, and grab those tickets before they are gone! Flowers, materials, firing of your vase, and complimentary beverage all included. Limitied tickets available.

Cruz Creations x Journaling Classes
Join us for an enchanting evening of creativity and intention at "Crafting Dreams: A Pottery & Journaling Intention-Setting Workshop" on May 13th at The Canal Market in Venice! Hosted by the talented Erica Cruz of Cruz Creations and Emily Chertow of Journaling Classes, this two-hour workshop is the perfect blend of art and soul.
