November 2024

The weather is getting colder and crispier and this new month brings the beginning of all the holiday festivities. To kick start the season, we have chosen three wonderful wines that will get you into the happiness of the holidays. Whether you’re the host or hostee, pick two out of the three wines we have selected for you, and enjoy with friends and family for the holiday season.

Marc Barriot Clot de L’Origine “Le P’tit Barriot” (2022)

This white wine is an unusual blend of grapes, that are carefully hand harvested, and pressed gently with a short maceration so as to not pick up much color from the blend of nearly all Syrah, with a touch of Grenache Noir and Sauvignon Blanc. From the small alps region of Roussillon France, this crispy white wine has low tannins with touches of minerality, with tartness that is clean, simple, and delicious with every last drop. Enjoy this light-bodied white wine to open up the palette for a long night with friends and family for the holidays, or with a casual night paired with cheese and charcuterie.

Broc Cellars Rosato (2023)

Moving over to our owners’ familial roots of Italy, this Rosato from Broc Cellars is a deeper, more luscious Italian “rosé”. 95% Montepulciano with a kiss of Sangiovese, this versatile rosato is rich in color and balanced in flavor with notes of dark, deep fruits and slightly savory in structure that pairs well with food. The grapes are pressed in stainless steel tanks and naturally fermented and aged for six months in the organically certified vineyard in Mendocino. This authenticity of the process shines through the beautiful taste of this rosato, that can be enjoyed alongside nearly anything! Whether you are a full carnivore with a plate full of only turkey and gravy for the Thanksgiving meal, or a sides enthusiast exclusively, this rosato will pair with any and all of it. Finish out your meal with a chilled glass and extra slice of pie! Don’t forget the whipped cream too…

Isabelle & Bruno Perraud, “Brut de Cuve” Beaujolais (2023)

Gamay, a classic for the Thanksgiving table. From Beaujolais in France, this timeless Gamay grape is the perfect balance to the hearty foods of Thanksgiving, which culminates the holiday season with friends and family. It’s medium bodied, silky, and full of flavor matching pomegranates and black cherry, that is easily enjoyed alongside the richness of your Thanksgiving classics. Coming from six generations of winemakers, Bruno Perraud began instilling biodynamic practices, when he became ill from the insecticides from prior winemaking. He and Isabelle, who later joined the winemaking practices with Bruno, are making beautiful wines like this Gamay, that are neither filtered nor fined, and certified organic that respect the natural processes of nature. This gamay will enhance any and all of your holiday gatherings!
