Spring is right around the corner and we have brought to you some wines that will perfectly ease the transition from “California winter” into a beautiful spring!

Terah Wine - falanghina

This skin contact white wine is the perfect wine to sip as we transition into the upcoming springtime! Being one of Italy’s oldest grape varietals from Campania, it actually grows quite well in California as well with their similar mediterranean climate. This delicious wine drinks similarly to a chardonnay with crisp notes of freshly picked green apples and vibrant citrus peel intertwine with more intricate layers of brioche, dried apricots, and honeyed figs. The chewy tannin contrasts with the wine's minerality and refreshing zippiness. 10 days skin contact in stainless steel adds a nice richness and textural element to this classic Italian grape varietal. We enjoy drinking this wine with risotto or with seafood pastas!

Iruai - shasta cascade red

A delicious red blend of 40% Trousseau / 25% Pinot Noir / 20% Gamay / 10% Mondeuse / 5% Blaufränkisch from the Shasta Cascades. This wine takes an Alpine inspiration with roots in both the Trinity Alps of northern California and the Shasta-Cascade range of southern Oregon. Considered a mythical winegrowing region even still, it bears much resemblance to the French alpine reds that are grippy and peppery, yet fruity and bitter.  With tasting notes of Marionberry, mezcal, luxardo Cherry, and violets, the trousseau brings the blood orange tang, the monduese adds high toned black fruit and a peppery perfume, while the gamay rounds things out with a bitter kick and savory structure.

Enjoy this wine paired with grilled duck breast and a creamy polenta :)
