Happy July 1st! This month, we are featuring wines perfect to pair with your Summer BBQ meals.
Big Basin Vineyards 2022 Rosé
NEW RELEASE! This rosé is primarily made of Grenache (74%) and Syrah (17%) which adds to the structure and complexity of the wine. Like a proper whole cluster pressed rosé, the color is a pale pink/peach. It has both wonderful texture and vibrant acidity that keeps it fresh and alive (refreshing!) Notes of peach, apricot and apple blossom are accompanied by a mouthwatering acidity.
*Monte Rio Cellars Skull Red Wine 2021
This red is a blend of 50% Petite Sirah, 30% Mission, 20% Zinfandel. No added sulfur and aged 10 months in used oak. This wine has an aromatic nose with notes of black tea, tobacco leaf, and dried fig. There is ripe juicy elderberry, blueberry, and plum fruit on the palate with a gently grippy savory finish. Bring this medium-bodied red to your next BBQ party to enjoy on its own or with grilled baby back ribs or beef tri-tip.
*Monte Rio Cellars Skull Sparkling Blend 2021
This wine is a blend of Pinot Gris, Sauvignon Blanc, Vermentino and Verdelho. All fruit sourced from organic vineyards in Lodi and San Benito (Verdelho). Each variety is fermented separately with natural yeasts in a mix of stainless steel and neutral barrels before blending. Matured for 5 months in neutral oak and force carbonated at bottling.
Enjoy this wine with grilled chicken or salmon.
